DESCRIPTION:
Responsibility to translate a clients Website specifications into a WordPress template, or custom template design. The developer must know how to quickly create a wordpress template from a photoshop design or from an existing html website.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Improve existing template

Closely coordinate with client to maintain and improve website

Update, design and develop one or more of our major WP-based web properties.

Collaborate with clients and other developers to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop criteria, and come up with solutions.

Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards and functions correctly across targeted browsers.

Identify problems uncovered by testing, automated & user feedback, system logs, etc. and correct or refer to appropriate personnel for correction.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

High proficiency in Web designing

Proficient in Photoshop

Extensive experience with WordPress CMS, including API, widgets, theming and plug-in development.

At least 3 years of experience working with HTML and CSS that supports multiple browsers.

At least 1 year of experience in advanced HTML5/CSS3 and responsive design techniques.

Familiarity with user-centered design and usability practices.

Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines with flexibility to switch tasks frequently, while maintaining clear understanding of urgent priorities

Positive and personable, and comfortable working in a busy environment

Work well with other people, but is also able to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
