DESCRIPTION:

A PHP/MySQL Developer manages existing websites, as well as develop new functionalities. It includes maintenance of tools and system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Works on multiple projects for new features, and reporting

• Develop new functionalities and maintain existing PHP web application

• Develops compelling Web tools and platforms that will attract community and project brand message for the client’s brand

• Capable to deliver projects that make our clients’ Web experiences more interactive

• Manage complex problems in distributed computing, virtualization performance, distributed queuing, and more.

• Participate in all phases of our software development life cycle to convert concepts and specifications into deployed applications and features.

• Interact daily with the systems and processes used in professional software development, including source control, bug tracking, testing, etc.

SKILLS REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS:

• A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or other related fields or experience.

• A strong background with java programming

• Must be excellent in general programming skills

• 3+ years experience or strong project portfolio in Web PHP & MySQL Database development is required

• High interest in programming, problem solving, and creative solutions

• Portfolio demonstrating strong and varied programming projects

• Collaborate with a team to deliver innovative creative concepts that meet client business objectives, including social gestures, dynamic data, interactive features, gamification, etc.

• Proficient in Object Oriented PHP 5.x

• Proficiency in Python is a strong plus

• Strong background in Javascript, CSS, DHML, AJAX

• Capable of coding HTML and HTML5

• Proficient in WordPress CMS

• Knowledge of HTML (hand-coding), JavaScript, AJAX, Flash/ActionScript, Perl, Shell scripting.

• Expert knowledge of LAMP environment/technology, MySQL database, PHP, AJAX, and XML.

• Experience with MySQL database server configuration and maintenance.

• Expert knowledge with Linux, and Apache.

• Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines with flexibility to switch tasks frequently, while maintaining clear understanding of urgent priorities

• Positive and personable, and comfortable working in a busy environment

• Work well with other people, but is also able to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

• Able to communicate well with all levels of people

• Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative
